X2: X-Men United (2003) - ‘Nightcrawler’ SFX Fingernail

The textured resin fingernail with painted detailing, worn by Actor Alan Cummings in his role as ‘Nightcrawler’ in Director Bryan Singer’s American Superhero Film. A company called FXSmith Inc, founded by Special Effects Designer Gordon Smith, pioneered the Special makeup effects for the Film. The fingernail prop was originally acquired from a member of the SFX Production Team and has passed MovieMania’s rigorous authenticity assessment. It comes mounted inside a framed display with two corresponding stills and a descriptive plaque.
